About This Show
When it comes to unexplained phenomena, it is just that. Unexplained. We try to approach this from as many different ways as possible, and to throw out the assumptions that have driven research for a very long time. These strange experiences people have, no matter what you want to label or catagorize them as, are real in some way. They have been reported throughout history and across cultures. If nothing else, they are a very Human experience. None of the theories we have may even come close to divining what we are actually experiencing, if they did, we would have some answers. We do not know what Reality is, what life or death are, or truly why we are here. We do know that our senses filter much out, and our memories do not work like we think they do. New approaches are needed if we are ever to make any progress at all in understanding what we are interacting with. Some of that comes from understanding ourselves, and some of that comes from having a truly open mind in confronting those things that defy explanation. We need new eyes, perspectives, and better questions. That is the goal of Where Did the Road Go? To go places that have not been tread before, and explore new things from new angles. To leave the well worn road, and wander...
I discuss with Timothy Renner, his fascinating book, Bigfoot in Pennsylvania. In this book, Tim has collected news clippings from the 1800's and early 1900's that clearly refer to Bigfoot-like creatures. It is interesting to see how this is treated then, and what similarities and differences there are with modern accounts. And there are also some very strange ones mixed in...
In Episode 10 we start our ongoing series discussing iron and the supernatural. With Joshua Cutchin, we talk about iron and the fae folk, changelings, and more – and then we hear some old stories regarding changelings, including one that went horribly wrong.

We talk to Seth Breedlove of Small Town Monsters about his latest documentary, The Mothman of Point Pleasant. This is the fourth in his series, and the second narrated by Lyle Blackburn. We explore the legend of the Mothman, and some of the details that he was able to discover while researching this case.
We welcome back to the show, Robert Sullivan. We talk about some of the movies he covers in Cinema Symbolism 2, including The Shining, Crimson Peak, Lost Highway, Star Wars, The Warriors, From Hell, Mulholland Drive, and Dune...
Robert W. Sullivan IV is a philosopher, historian, antiquarian, jurist, lay theologian, writer, mystic, showman, radio-TV personality, best-selling author, and lawyer.
I am joined by Joshua Cutchin, Adam Sayne, and Timothy Renner for a discussion of Fiction and how it relates to the subjects we study. We discuss fiction as a release valve, as an influence on ideas, as well as how fiction can muddy the waters of what is fact and what is fiction. We get into a lot of stuff in this show, including recommending some excellent fictional podcasts. We also talk everything from Star Trek to Lovecraft. Enjoy.
Aaron Dabbah joins me for the first time to talk some really strange, and obscure, history. We talk about a HUGE volcanic eruption that no one noticed, the war between the Pygmies and the Cranes, The Nittaweo Genocide, the wiping out of the Moon Eyed People, and much more... It is a strange collection of material to be sure.
We continue with Mark Blankenship’s bigfoot encounters and then hear two more articles about possible bigfoot creatures from the 1800s.

Mike Hughes joins me as we talk to Gordon White about his latest book on Chaos Magick, called Pieces of Eight. We deal with science and materialism, Consciousness and UFO's, Alient Aliens, mythology, Folk Magic, Ritual and much more... This is part two of two.
On this show I am joined by Red Pill Junkie and Joshua Cutchin as we discuss the Antikythera Mechanism and the Miracle of Fatima. Both have their anniversaries earlier in May, so we figured it was a good time to talk about this subjects.
In this episode we hear about a very old sighting of a possible albatwitch creature (Pennsylvania’s “little bigfoot”) from 1838 – and then we talk with Mark Blankenship who has had some much more recent encounters with creatures in Washington state.
